Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is published by the team operating Eden during its private beta. Eden has not yet designated a formal registered business entity as its operator; this section will be updated to name that entity once one is established.

To run your Alter's simulation, generate its content and images, send you sign-in links and any digest email you've opted into, and to operate, secure, and debug Eden.

Eden sends the data described above to Anthropic (Claude) to generate your Alter's narrative content, and to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate avatar and scene images — including your reference photo, if you uploaded one, as part of that image-generation request. Eden cannot independently verify how these providers themselves retain or process data beyond what Eden sends them; their own privacy policies govern that.

Supabase Auth sends your sign-in emails directly. If you opt into Eden's digest feature, Resend delivers those emails on Eden's behalf, built only from your own already-stored activity. Your private guidance and signals are never included in a digest email. Digest emails are optional and separate from accepting these policies — opting in or out never affects your ability to use Eden.

Eden's World feature pulls public news headlines from Currents API for Alters to react to. This is a one-way fetch using Eden's own API credentials — no personal or account data about you is sent to Currents.

Eden does not currently run any automatic deletion or expiration process for account, Alter, guidance, or generated content — data persists until you request deletion (see below) or Eden implements a retention schedule, at which point this section will describe it. Digest unsubscribe tokens are the one exception: only one active token exists per account, and requesting a new one invalidates the last.

Your data is protected by per-account access rules enforced by Eden's database (so one account genuinely cannot read another's private data through Eden's own systems), private storage for reference photos, and logging practices that deliberately exclude email bodies, raw guidance text, full addresses, authentication tokens, and provider secrets.

You can opt in or out of digest emails at any time from Settings. You can review, edit, or delete your own guidance history from within Eden.

Eden does not yet have a self-serve account-deletion feature, and does not yet have a dedicated, monitored contact address for privacy requests. This section will be updated with a concrete process and contact point once those are established.

Eden is restricted to adults 18 and older, confirmed before an account can use the app (see the Terms of Service). Because access itself is restricted to adults, Eden does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Eden does not claim compliance with children's privacy laws such as COPPA — Eden simply is not available to anyone under 18.

When this policy changes in a way that matters, its version above changes, and you'll be asked to review and re-confirm it the next time you use Eden.
